Welcome to this months’ blog! We wanted to provide you with some information on herbs that are highly beneficial to your cat. Listed below are the herbs that provide great benefits to that particular system.

Immune System: Echinacea, ginseng, astragalus, licorice.

Cardiovascular System: Hawthorn, one of the “seaweeds”, turmeric, motherwort, Siberian ginseng & valerian.

Nervous System: Valerian, ginkgo, hop, peppermint, chamomile & Siberian ginseng.

Digestive System: Milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion, ginger and turmeric.

Musculoskeletal System: Alfalfa, grapple plant, yarrow, saw palmetto, wild yam, echinacea, licorice and sarsaparilla.
All herbs listed above may be put directly on your cats food. I tend to sprinkle different herbs daily on my pets food to provide variety as well as avoiding a particular herb becoming ineffective from daily consumption.

May I suggest sipping organic loose leaf tea while providing your furry family member with fresh organic herbs!  Have a safe and happy summer.
