For the last 6 years, my mom, Lori, and I have been dreaming of having a tea shop. It started with the idea of a brick and mortar store front. Our dreams started from a simple conversation about how much fun it would be to own a tea shop and boutique. I make soap and organic body care products (check out my stuff here) and we wanted to feature, not only my products, but organic goods from local small businesses. We wanted to decorate the walls with art from local artists that would be for sale. We wanted it to be a fun community effort! That dream morphed into so many different aspects of what our business could be.

We started this dream in December of 2011. At the time I had 2 kids under 2 years old and was not in a position where I could financially or emotionally commit to starting our “tea baby”. Lori has been working for an insurance agency since 1991 and making that financial leap into the unknown just didn’t feel right at the time. Over the last few years, I’ve had 2 more children and was never ready to move forward with the business. Recently we decided to bring the tea shop idea online. This will give us the freedom to see what works and what doesn’t while we are still working our day jobs and/or parenting. This online platform will give us the ability to provide organic and fair trade teas to people everywhere! We still plan on opening a brick and mortar store but this is our starting point and we are so excited about it!

We are ordering our sample teas this week! I can’t wait to try our signature blends! 🙂

So right now we just started our website and our social media pages. Check us out on them all!
